At 1pm today, Sangchul Roh defended his thesis titled “Design of novel functional colloidal suspensions and gels by interfacial engineering of multiphase systems.” His thesis document will soon be available to read for all those who have access to the NCSU library database.
Sangchul has been a very hardworking and creative group member- his work has created multiple new PhD projects for our group! He has been a great mentor to all of us and source of knowledge for all things polymer-related. We will definitely miss having him readily available when he leaves us!
Sangchul will be staying with us in the Velev group through February 2019 as he finishes up papers from all of his work. He will then move to Ithaca, New York, where he has accepted a Post-Doc position at Cornell University in Dr. Nicholas L. Abbott‘s research group.
