The Place to Get Results

The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering is far from alone in its educational and research mission. It’s a vital cog within NC State’s College of Engineering, one of the finest of its kind in the world. Both the department and the college are based on the university’s award-winning Centennial Campus, a bustling hub that’s home to more than 70 partners and multiple world-class centers and institutes — among them the Golden LEAF Biomanufacturing Training and Education Center and the Nonwovens Institute.

NC State also enjoys close ties with the neighboring Research Triangle Park, a national destination for bold, pioneering ideas. The Research Triangle Park houses a number of federal research institutions alongside industrial laboratories for leading companies like GlaxoSmithKline, BASF, Bayer CropScience and IBM. The interplay among industry, government and pre-eminent universities like NC State makes the area ripe with promise for students, faculty and partners alike.
