Successful Schoenborn Symposium!

This year, the CBE department made the decision to switch the annual Schoenborn Graduate Research Symposium to the Fall semesters, starting with this semester.

That being said, the Velev Group showed off a variety of great research at the virtual symposium yesterday! We had two oral presentations and six posters, and we had two award winners!

Schoenborn Award Winners: Natasha and Tamoghna

Fifth year Natasha got 3rd in oral presentations for her talk titled “Development of novel magneto-capillary gels and 3D printed responsive architectures.” Fourth year Tamoghna then got first place in the poster session with his poster “Osmotic-Capillary Principles for Microfluidic Pumping and Fluid Management for Sweat Sensing Devices.”
Congrats on your awards!

To all the other presenters, thank you for the great work, especially dealing with all the changes that had to be made for the symposium to be virtual!
