Velev Group at ACS Colloids 2019

Four graduate students in our group went to Atlanta, Georgia for ACS Colloids 2019! The conference started in the evening on June 16, 2019 and went until the evening of June 19. Dr. Velev joined the conference on Monday morning, less than two days after returning from his trip to Hong Kong!

We had three group members give oral presentations- On Tuesday, Lilian presented her 3D printing and magnetic mesh work, and Tamoghna presented his wearable device research. On Wednesday, Cathryn talked about lignin nanoparticle synthesis and antifungal application.

We also had two poster presentations at ACS Colloids this year! Cathryn showed a poster on her recent work with protein stability, and Aditya presented a poster on using environmentally benign nanoparticles (EbNPs) made of lignin to protect rose petals from infection by fungi. Aditya’s poster won the second place award for the conference! Congrats Aditya!
