Last week was the annual meeting for the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), located in Orlando, Florida this year. Dr. Velev gave an invited talk for the Materials Engineering & Sciences Division (MESD) as part of the MESD Plenary!
Dr. Velev was able to show off some of the amazing work going on in our group!
The prior day, Dr. Velev presented the Andreas Acrivos Award for Professional Progress in Chemical Engineering Lecture to the 2019 winner since he was the award winner last year.
Also at AIChE, we had a few former group members, including Wyatt Shields (now a professor at Harvard) and Bhuvnesh Bharti (now a professor at LSU)! Current visiting scholar Dr. James McAndrew and 5th year student Cathryn were also in attendance, so we had quite a few representatives from the Velev group this year.
