Lauren Kielty

Bio

Hello! My name is Lauren Kielty and I’m a fourth year chemical engineering student minoring in business administration and biomanufacturing. I like to stay involved on campus, and I’m currently the president of both the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), and the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE). I have worked in the pharmaceutical industry at Novartis, Novartis Gene Therapies, and Biogen. At these companies I have worked in engineering, manufacturing sciences & technology, and cell culture development, respectively. I’m also currently involved in research at BTEC investigating different methods of protein precipitation. My second year I was also involved in Dr. Velev’s lab working primarily on a sweat reconstitution project. Outside of school, I have a cat named Alfredo and I enjoy spending time with my roommates!
