Kelly Lab presents research in South Africa at Thermophiles

The Kelly Lab traveled to Kruger National Park in South Africa to present research at Thermophiles 2017.  Dr. Kelly discussed “Lignocellulose deconstruction by the extremely thermophilic Caldicellulosiruptor: How they do what they do in ‘Caldi world'” while Ben Zeldes presented his thesis work on “Recovering chemolithoautotrophy in Sulfolobus acidocaldarius: progress and potential applications”. Jonathan Conway, Laura Lee, Chris Straub, James Counts, and James Crosby all brought posters with updates on Caldicellulosiruptor and Sulfolobales microbes.
