Professors Milad Abolhasani and Michael Dickey recently received very good news and recognitions for their professional accomplishments…
First, Prof. Abolhasani was selected to receive funding from the 2022 Chancellor’s Innovation Fund (CIF) to develop and commercialize a device he and his research team invented, the “Arti-Chem: Self-Driven Quantum Dot Synthesizer.” Established by Chancellor Woodson in 2010, the CIF mission is to support campus researchers as they turn their discoveries into market-ready solutions.
Second, the Board of Trustees has approved the promotion of Prof. Abolhassani to the rank of associate professor with tenure, effective August 16, 2021.
Finally, Prof. Dickey was appointed as the Camille and Henry Dreyfus Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering by Dean Martin-Vega. This category of named professorship is bestowed to honor a faculty member for his or her professional accomplishments and typically provides them with resources to further their accomplishments.
Earlier in 2021 Profs. Dickey and Abolhasani both received important honors and awards that are reported in previous articles on this site.
