Three friends of the department received awards at the 2016 AIChE Annual Meeting in San Francisco:

Mr. Kevin Pait (BS ’79), director of Engineering and Site Services for Catalent Pharma Solutions, received the Local Section Shining Star Award

Dr. Mark Shiflett P. E. (BS ’89), a Technical Fellow at DuPont, received the Institute Award for Industrial Research & Development

Dr. James Trainham, chief technology officer of JDC Phosphate and an Adjunct Professor in the department, received the Institute Award for Industry Leadership
